Seeking some data on the likely time and cost for making our iOS app accessible

Hi - We have built an app that helps people interview more confidently.
We now wish to tweak the content for needs of the disabled community and dramatically improve the accessibility.
Does anyone have some ballpark metrics about how many developer days it takes to improve accessibility? It would help me with getting sensible quotes from third-party developers. Or maybe you are interested in quoting for the project. John

I doubt it is possible to ballpark the number of days without knowing what the accessibility issues are. Improving a11y can be anything from a small tweak to a fundamental rebuild.

Hi,

It all depends on the user interface and how it has been implemented by the existing development team.

If you have some numbers for screens and can send me some screenshots I would be happy to provide some figures based on how long I think it would take me?

Hi Rikke
The chap that did the initial iOS used "best practice" throughout, so it's probably towards the tweak end of the spectrum.

Scott - I will send you some screenshots of the existing app. In the meantime please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VExAAgP6t58

Hi Joan - It will help you interview better, we net out the best bits of advice from 30 million interview prep advice hits into a confidence-boosting app.
The Disability Confident version will have 80% similar content but go the extra mile on how to answer sensitive questions or project yourself positively plus example answers from people with disability.
The existing app UK store only, when we deploy in other countries we localise the example responses. Working on US and Spain at the moment.
I can send you or any other forum members FlightDeck updates to any region when we get going. Android will follow.
