I just figured I'd drop a note that Messenger has fixed the typing issue!! Finally!! If you get the latest update, it will fix the issue! At least it did for me!!

@Taichong you might want to re-install it and see if that doesn't fix it.
Wait.
It will take awhile for everything to roll out so even if you'd updated it might still be giving you problems. just be patient.
