Yes i am experiencing the same issue with messenger,
And the latest update did not fix it either; frown
Hope the facebook support team will do something about it though

Hi. I was really hoping the latest update would fix it. This is really annoying for me too! But, I use dictation a lot of the time. And it's still annoying at times with that too!

I've got another workaround to try until this issue is fixed. Go to the button that says: long press to send audio message

and use that until it's fixed. I may start doing that myself. But at least you'll know what you are saying is getting written down accurately.

I have definitely noticed the same problem, and hoping Facebook will do something about it.

I'm experiencing the same as well... I worked around it, sending recorded voice messages though and it works pretty well, while avoiding me to type, as I don't like to use dictation. Spending more time Spell checking than I would recording a voice message or even typing is too frustrating and pointless. :)

I still use BSI for Messenger messages. I have to listen very carefully, but I'm pretty good with braille, and as long as I keep the messages fairly short, they seem to work alright. One thing I tried was typing them in @MBraille, but when I switched to the edit setting on the roter, there were no options. Oh well. Just another pointless challenge.

Facebook accessibility says the fix has been pushed to all users but it may take time for everybody to receive it. Mine finally started working properly today. Be patient and keep checking. In the meantime, you can use the Notes app to compose your message and then copy/paste it into Messenger. Even though it doesn’t give you any verbal feedback, you can still actually type directly into messenger but you cannot really edit or do anything with the text. Voice dictation still works, but knowing how that often butchers text, results may be poor.

Mine finally works, although if you use flicktype, you shouldn't have any problems typing and editing your messages.

The problem only appears to be for native voiceover use.
