Hi all,
I'm slowly trying to become a total mac user, my windows piece of junk's charger is shot and I may have to buy a new one just over muds soon if this doesn't resolve.
I have mudability, but I haven't seen updates or do not know how to check my version against the system version. I perchased it in around october of 2017. I have tried tintin and have quickly become overwhelmed. I'm missing mushclient for windows lol. Any suggestions about how to do one of three things: A: fix the punctuation levels, and typing interrupt on the system voice. B: check mudability against the current version. C, run tintin reliably and make it not interrupt itself every time a new message comes in, as in a fight?
Any advice well appreciated, especially if someone can salvage my cold turkey quit of windows, LOL.
Thanks,
Blake.

Hi Blake,
I'm right there with you. Long story short, I'm using my mac. I miss mudding enough to want a good mud client, but not enough to replace the drive in my computer.
If you find out, please post here and I'll do the same -- one of my largest mac problems; no mud client as easily usable/understandable/fluid as windows.

VM or tt++
Hi
I've virtualised Windows in VMware Fusion on my mac for, among other things, mudding purposes. It works really well.
An alternative that you might want to test is tintin++ with the TDSR screen reader running in terminal, perhaps with screen as terminal multiplexer for better scrolling. I'm not sure how that handles typing interrupt, but it might be worth a shot.

two questions?
Question 1: for VM, don't you have to pay like $100 for an install of windows? How exactly does that work? I'll have you know that I'm about a 10 month old mac user.
Question 2: what is ttsr? Yoou completely lost me with the tintin thing. I was teaching myself how to program on window, but hadn't gotten close to messing with mud clients especially terminal ones and some of your terminoligy was greek lol. I will, however, adapt and learn to use and maybe even script in, a new form of mud client. It just may take me months. But one cannot win a battle within a mud if things move so fast that the screen reader can't get a word in edgewise before it interrupts itself. But I'd love, love, love to run windows for mudding purposes and not have to buy a windows computer.
Thanks for your responnses,
Blake.
Re: questions
Hi
I had a copy of Windows 7 lying around, so I'm running that at the moment. I hear that you can run Windows 10 well enough without activating it, though I'm not sure how it works, since I've never done it. You might want to ask around about that. What you willl need is a disk image of a Windows install, and VMware fusion.
NVDA works great, and if you want to remap capslock to NVDA key, you can use a program called Karabiner elements, found here:
https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/
In terms of your other question, what I'm refering to is TDSR, a terminal screenreader that Tyler Spivy coded, found here:
https://github.com/tspivey/tdsr
Be aware that if you want to scroll with Tintin++ further back, you'll probably have to run your terminal session in screen by typing "screen tdsr" instead of just tdsr.

IOS solution worth trying?
Hi.
I'm using a virtual Windows as well, because I need to use both operating systems.
An other solution just came to me which might be worth trying, since you don't have a virtual Windows yet:
Hook up a bluetooth keyboard to an iPhone or an iPad, and then see if one of the accessible mud clients for IOS will work. I don't know if that would work, but it would be worth trying...
re: iOS
Hi
I use Mudrammer on iOS. It's really great, both with braille screen input and bluetooth keyboards. The neat thing about using it with braille screen input is that you can just flick right with 2 fingers to send a command to the mud. It's pretty fast.
