You do this on iTunes on a computer. I don’t know any other way to do this and I don’t. have a computer at all so I am probably not of any good help.
If you successfully created a ringtone and then synced your phone with itunes, you should find it here - Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone, and select your new clip. These clips can also be used as text message tones, so you can really let your creativity shine.
I have the same problem. I know that when IOS 11 came out, iTunes worked differently and we had to copy and paste the ringtone into the list of ringtones that is on our iPhone in the iTunes program. Then it used to work. However, I do that now and it doesn't do anything. It just says, "Copying," and then the name of the ringtone. So I would love an answer to this as well. Thanks.
