Hi Guys,
Can anyone confirm if Voiceover works with the native reminders ios app? If so how does it work? I've set up a few reminders as tests and I never get VO to remind me. I assumed even on the locked screen when a reminder was due VO would speak it or at least let you know you have a reminder. Or have I missed something. Whatever, nothing ever happens so I maybe doing something wrong. Any advice thoughts appreciated. iOS 11.4 iPhone 8.

Works fine.
Hello,
Reminder works fine for me. I use Siri to set up the reminder. If you want to enter it manually or edit what Siri entered, go to the reminder app. It works fine with VO.
On the day or time of your reminder, you will get a notification. You can also see the reminder on page 1 of your home screen under the heading up next.
HTH and good luck.
RE: Native reminders app and Voiceover
The native iOS Reminders app works extremely well. It's just a matter of learning how to activate SIRI properly, assuming you want to use that method for creating a reminder. Otherwise, if you wish to use the manual method then it's pretty straight forward.
Using SIRI to create a reminder is really useful. For example, if I have an appointment and I want my reminder to activate at 8:00 AM on the date of the appointment, here is the language I use.
Activate SIRI and say something like:
Create new reminder for September 9, 2018 at 8:00 AM appointment with Dr. Anderson at 2:00 PM today.
Then SIRI will read back the details you gave and will indicate that the reminder has been created.
Note that the text of this reminder will only actually include: appointment with Dr. Anderson at 2:00 PM today.
All the preceeding info is just the details that SIRI is looking for to establish the appropriate stats for the reminder.
If you wish to change some of the details such as the time, then you simply open the appropriate reminder and highlight the info button, then the alarm button and change the appropriate time or date.
If you want to use Reminders to manually create an item then do the following:
Open the Reminders app, select new reminder, and ender the text for the reminder itself. Then to change any of the details such as date, time, priority of importance and other options, click on the info button to open up the options where these choices can be changed.
I also use the Reminders app for simple lists such as a grocery list, a books to be purchased list, etc. Its very simplicity makes it quite powerful to use. For the most part, I prefer the Reminders app over the Calendar, at least for my personal use.
If you have more than the original Reminders list in this app, there are two ways to navigate between your lists.
First, there is a button at the top of the app that says "button heading" with the name of the list before it. Example, Scheduled button heading. Double tapping on this button will reveal the other lists you have created. Select the list, double tap on it and it will open.
Finally, there is a button at the bottom of the app called "stack of other lists". Double tapping on this button will also activate the view where you can then select the appropriate list. Either method works reliably. I usually use the first method.

Reminders not appearing on lock screen
Go to Settings > Notifications > Reminders and make sure that the switch to have reminders display on the lock screen is set to "on".
Thanks
Cheers all. I'll have another play.
