Cool app!
This is a really cool app. Anyone know what happens if you delete an item from the list does it remove it from the network or just hide it?
Now inaccessible
After the update released today this app is now completely unusable. Most buttons are unlabeled, and every item in the list of devices is blank.
Accessibility issues in latest update
Its mostly the device tab but you are right it is unusable now. I emailed the team and you can contact them to if you wish at support@fing.io I hope they will fix these issues.
I have contacted the
I have contacted the developer and outlined the issues for VoiceOver users.
On the Devices Tab from the top left the first unlabelled button refreshes the device list. The second unlabelled button appears to b the Account and Settings button.
Once in the devices list swiping right then left will cause VoiceOver to try and get the label of an item. So you will get the announcement “Has Possible Text” followed by the devices’s label. This is far from ideal and I await further developments.
Responce from Fing
Hello.
Apologies for having missed that. It seems that a standard component of iOS (Stack View) is not automatically forwarding the accessibility hints to the components it contains. We're replacing the behaviour in the critical places so the VoiceOver shall be restored in the next release.
Kind regards
Fing Support
Basic Accessibility is back
That was fixed quickly: The main screen listing all the network devices is accessible again. I find howeever that other parts, like the Digital Fence, still need some accessibility work.
Let them know
Just let them know. They have been great at fixing things quickly!
