Although I am not going to recommend a specific headset as items such as comfort are really high on my list and everyone has a different view on what is comfortable and what is not. I did do a post on my blog that explains which bluetooth profiles work with which apps and that will certainly make it easier for you to talk the lingo when asking about headsets with your local retail outlet. Take a look here http://blog.sip2serve.com/post/20819870990/audio-shenanigans-from-the-smart-phone-a-list

As long as you get a bluetooth with "A2DP", you will be fine. I did extensive research on this last fall. I was going to buy a Plantronics since it is one of the best rated out there. However, my Mother-in-Law bought me a Bose for Christmas. It cost about as much as the Plantronics HD an works wonderfully! Check out Amazon. There are Plantronics models with A2DP that are much less expensive. Hope this helps!
Hi Maya, If you read the replies from myself and Tim Schwartz further down the page, we both discuss what makes one headset work with voiceover while overs do not. cheapest way is to take that information which in the main boils down to suport for A2DP profile and go check out the retailers that you have access to, its no good people recommending Amazon if the other person cannot order from Amazon in their location. Good Hunting Paul
Hi friends, I need your help again. I know bluetooth headset topic has been discussed a lot on this website and many recommendation have been given, but I would like to find the product which is available here and that is quite difficult. I know international shipping is possible nowadays but shipping fees in most cases are quite high. I am looking for a bluetooth headset with following functions: 1. A2DP profile support so I can hear Voiceover, 2. GPS navigation voice (Navigon) must be heard through, 3. battery level information should be anounced either by voice or by tone, beeping or whatever I can hear, 4. easy accessible buttons. I don't want to use this headset for listening to music, books or other stuff, I need it only to hear navigation, phone calls and use voice over features when I am out and travelling. I don't want to pay more than 50 dollars for the headset. As I have mentioned above, before I am going to buy the headset I must be sure it does have all these functions. I live in a small town and these products are not available where I live, so I must purchase it over the net. When purchasing over the net it might be a problem to send the product back in case I don't like it because many sellers don't accept not liking the product as a reasonable argument so I must keep it. Once I've bought the headset not knowing that A2DP profile must be supported in case I want to hear Voiceover through and I was very upset, having useless thing so I don't want to make same mistake again. Please if anyone knows of a headset having all these functions, post here or write me at: maria.orovcikova@gmail.com Your help will be very highly appreciated. Sorry for such a long post.

Hi I'd like to highly recommend the Go Groove Airband stereo wireless bluetooth headset. I got it from Amazon, but i'm sure it's available elsewhere. I got mine for about $50. You can listen to music, answer phone calls with it, and VoiceOver sounds great while using it. If you're using it in conjunction with a bluetooth keyboard as I do, you may notice a very tiny bit of lag, but that's not a show stopper, and it certainly doesn't take away any enjoyment of using the headset. In my apartment I can walk across the house while listening to something, and it cuts out a tiny bit in places, but over all, it still sounds great. Pairing it is a pretty simple process. Turn on the headphones using the large button located on the right earphone and wait until you hear a beep. you'll need to hold it down for like 5 to 10 seconds or so. If everything goes right, it should be in pairing mode. On your idevices screen you should eventually receive a message that says, gg air not paired, button. Simply double-tap that, and with in just a few seconds, the audio will now be coming from your headphones. I had to try it a few times but it works great and once its paired you'll never have to do it again. The sound quality is uncommonly good. Lots of ritch bass and trebble, and like i said above, you can answer phone calls with it. hit that same button on the right ear phone to answer. One press of the button answers the call, and another press hangs up. you'll hear a beep when the call is answered, and ended. It's not a brand I've ever heard of but it certainly is nice. Battery time lasts 6 to 8 hours on a single charge. the batteries already come included with it, as they're rechargable. I'm not exactly sure what kind of batteries it uses, but the life is pretty good with them. So I'm hoping others take advantage of this headset. If you've been looking for one this one's a winner!
These sound absolutely awesome! They support A2DP, but I'm not sure what bluetooth version they use. Time to see if there's an updated model, just in case! Anyhow, take a look at this link here: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Wireless-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B0052YFYFK A really helpful review can be found by searching for: "Highly comfortable and very usable - even while exercising" with your screen reader's find command, without the quotes, of course. It's the first review on the page, I think. Alternatively, I know for a fact that they're the first review on this page: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Wireless-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/product-reviews/B0052YFYFK/ref=cm_cr_dp_text?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0#R3TIJPKMWLUP9Q The reviewer gives both a six-month and one-year update, so you can get a feel for how they've held up over time. They sound fantastic, and once I get some money, I'm thinking of getting them. Lol maybe my folks will consider getting them for me as a birthday present. Anyway, I just thought I'd post, in case anyone hadn't seen these already! They sound great! Hope this helps. Lol I've been looking for good A2DP bluetooth 3.0 or 4.0 headsets all day, and these seem to have taken the cake! Let's hope they work with iPhone/VoiceOver! If anyone finds out more, would you please poste here? I'll be keeping an eye out for more news on this topic from the AppleVis Twitter feed. Lol I follow that religiously! Thanks, Shersey
I just found out that the particular headset that I posted earlier uses bluetooth 2.1! I will be looking for an updated model in the coming days, and will post my findings here! A shame that it uses 2.1! I hope I can find an updated model that uses at least bluetooth 3.0! Thannks, Shersey
