Ringtone issues with IOS 6.0.2

So, I just put a ringtone on my iPhone 5. I want to use it as a tect tone though and not as a ringtone. However, when I go into settings, sounds, and text tones, it doesn't show up. But if I look for it under ringtones, it's there. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this or if it is just a bug?
thanks so much,
Holly

That is not a bug... It will always show as ringtone, however you can use for any alert; mail, text, etc.

Hi Holly Let see what happens: First of all you said that you have an iPhone 5, and one tone appear under the ring tone section right? I assume that you did sync tones (include ring tone, text tone and alert tone) using iTunes from a PC or Mac. It's not an iOS bug, it happens when you sync media tones) using iTunes from a PC or Mac machine, always it will show up under Ring tone section. I been seeing this since my first iOS device. You have 3 sections Alert tone heading Text tone heading Ring tone heading I have seem this real iOS 6 bug is whenever want to look for one specific tone VoiceOver miss the focus jumping around one advice is the follow Using the rotor feature choose headings and just flick up or down gesture. Hope this helps.
