Is there an easy way to scroll large number of pages in safari for iPhone?

Hi! I figured I'd ask this question now that the voiceover-bug that causes it to loose fokus and jump to the top of the page is beating the heck out of me! ;) A good example is going through the comments-section of the Facebook-app here on the applevis-site. It has a lot of comments, and on my iPhone it is shown on 26 pages. So when I want to go the last post, I'll do the the three-finger scroll forever, and if the VO then loses fokus on page 19 and jumps back to page 1, that is to say it in a kind way frustrating... So is there a way to scroll more efficient, or is it a way to easily jump to the last page? Maybe this is elimentary knowledge of VO usage and I've just missed it, but I can't seem to figure out a way of doing this...

It's truly difficult to navigate the pages of the comments section, particularly because of the focus issue. What I found useful is that you have to tap the bottom right-hand corner of the iPhone (where the pages button is located). Set your router to headings, and flick upward until you navigate to the last comment. Sometimes it can even be frustrating, but you just have to wrestle with it. Speed is also the key, and if you're fast, you might have success. Best of luck.
So do you mean that I should tap the actual pages-button, or tap somewhere above it? I think you mean that I with this way should be able to go to the last page in some way, since you said flick up to the last post? If I tap the pages-button, it just opens a window with what I think is a kind of preview of the page I'm on and let's me choose between other open pages in safari... Couldn't find a way to jump to the end of the page I'm currently in...

No, that is just a preview page for choosing which page you want. I've been using iOS for 3 years and have never come across a quick way of getting to the bottom of the page. Often it's quicker to use the roter to scroll by heading, but with the current VoiceOver losing focus bug, this can be a pain at the moment.Sometimes I do it the sighted way, i.e. turn VO off and one finger scroll rapidly. Otherwise it's the old 3 finger swipe I'm afraid!
Does the four finger single tap work in Safari? In some situations, if you use this at the top or bottom of the screen, you will go to the top or bottom, respectively. This doesn't help wade through the 26 pages, but it can get you to the bottom faster.

I like the idea of doing a four finger tap to navigate to the end of the page. You can also just touch the pages button and then navigate by headings.(Don't double tap it--just Have focus on it. I really wish they would fix the focus issue, though. Maybe they will in the next iOS version. It also may be the setup of this website, because I remember That my device had Problems with writing comments in iOS version 5. However, this version has been known to cause focus issues On other websites, Which for me is the most frustrating aspect about it.
I just attempted to do a four finger single tap in hopes that it would move to the end of the page, but I didn't have any luck. I tried to do it from the top of the page, but it only said top of screen. Oh well, one can try. :-)
If I do the fourfinger-thing at the bottom of the screen, it takes me to the last item of the fysical screen I'm in, and that is the pages-button. But good idea to turn VO of and scroll the sighted way to do it fast... It works fine for me, at least until they fix the bug.. Ok, this is maybe a case for another post, but have you noticed that voiceover sometimes is at the bottom of the page when you open a new one? After I've clicked a link and the page has loaded, I have to start flicking upwards to get to the top of the page... Wierd? The fix for me is to touch somewhere at the upper part of the screen after the page has finished loading, and then start flicking through the headings... so if VO would do this end-up-at-the-bottom thing only when I want it to do, the problem would be solved! ;)

One of the major--and most obvious--ways that Safari on the iPhone is different from desktop web browsers is that you control is not with a mouse but by touch. Here are some tips on the use of touch to browse the web using Safari. For more advanced articles on using Safari, check out: •Adding, Editing, and Deleting Bookmarks in Safari •Using AirPlay, AirPrint, and Email in iPhone Safari •Using Safari Find on Page •iPhone Safari Settings and Security Pinching and Double Tapping If you want to zoom in on a particular section of a web page, simply double tap it (tap twice in quick succession on the same part of the screen) with your finger. This enlarges that section of the page. The same double tap zooms out again. Multitouch If you want more control over what you're zooming in on or how much zooming you do, use the multitouch feature. Put your index finger together with your thumb and place them on the part of the iPhone's screen that you want to zoom in on. Then, drag your fingers apart, sending each one towards the opposite edge of the screen. This zooms in on page. The text and images appear blurry for a moment and then the iPhone makes them crisp and clear again. To zoom out of the page, put your fingers at opposite ends of the screen and drag them towards each other, meeting in the center of the screen. Jump to the Top of the Page You scroll down the page by dragging a finger down the screen. But, did you know that you can jump back to the top of a web page without all that scrolling? To jump to the top of a page (in order to get back to the browser bar, search bar, or the site's navigation), simply tap the top right corner of the iPhone or iPod touch's screen, right near the battery meter. This immediately jumps you back to the top of the web page. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a similar short cut for jumping to the bottom of a page. Open a Page in a New Window There are two ways to open a new window in Safari. The first is by tapping the icon in the lower right corner of the Safari window that looks like two squares on top of each other. This makes your current web page small and reveal a New Page button in the bottom left corner. Tap that to open a new window. Tap the two rectangles again and slide back and forth to move between windows, or tap the red X to close a window. Besides opening a new blank window, though, you may want to open a link in a new window as you do on a desktop computer. Here's how: 1.Find the link you want to open in a new window. 2.Tap the link and don't remove your finger from the screen. 3.Don't let go until a menu pops up from the bottom of the screen that offers five options: •Open •Open in New Page •Add to Reading List (iOS 5 and up only) •Copy •Cancel 4.Select Open in a New Window and you'll now have two browser windows, one with the first site you visited, the second with your new page.
