Macbook Air 2018 question

Last year I got an iPad mini-4 and a Zag. keyboard case. Didn't mind the keyboard keys being smaller back then... Now, , I'm considering migrating from the iPad mini-4 to the latest MacBook Air. Questions before purchasing:

1. Is the keyboard of the MacBook Air full size?

2. Does the keyboard layout include the control, option, and command keys on both sides of the spacebar?

3. What would you warn me about the MacBook Air before I spent my pennies?

Thanks, Warm Las Vegas Regards, Johnny.

Hi,
First of all, I haven't heard anything about new Macbook air models if they will be produced. I have a 2016 Macbook pro 15 inch with the touch bar. The keyboard is a full keyboard with the command and option keys on the right side of the space bar. there is no CTRL key on the right, only on the left. Also, I recommend getting as much as you can afford in terms of ram, memory, etc. Once you get your machine down the road, that is it. No changing memory/hard drives. You'll have to take it into either an apple store or apple certified place to do the work. The new keyboards that they are using on these macines are truely great in my opinion, and I wouldn't think of anything else till it dies!

Thank you Justin for that good advice regarding memory from the get-go! I read the same advice in another posting. That's good to know.

I'm not saying that there is a 2018 version, only that my question is during 2018.

Just to clarify, are you saying the MacBook Pro has all three keys to the left of the spacebar (ctrl+option+command)? and an additional command+option set to the right of the spacebar

Also to clarify, I'm not asking if the MacBook Air has a full size keyboard, I'm asking if the keys on the keyboard are full size, unlike this Zagg-Foli has?

Thanks again, All the Best to you and your MacBook!

I use an external keyboard for the convenience of having a number pad and to avoid accidentally touching the track pad. just plug it into your Macbook and use.c it has all of the keys anyone might want.

I thought the Macbook air has a full size keyboard. In any case, the macbook pro has the three keys CTRL+OPT+CMD to the left of the space bar and OPT+CMD to the right. I'd say if you're interested, get the new 12 inch MacBook, it's the least expensive of the Macbooks. Like I said, I don't think the air is going to be resurrected, that's waht I heard a couple years ago. It was being phased out in favor of the new MacBook. This is just what I heard.

Thank you for the cutting-edge tip! I wasn't fully aware of the new 12 inch MacBook. Like many totally blind wise consumer knows, the best thing is not to buy anything sight-unseen or should I say, sight-untouched.? Just like test driving a car before buying, it's good to visit a brick and mortar store and tap on the keys before making the investment.

Yet, your comments and recommendations are greatly appreciated!
