Voiceover PDF reading issues

I can't seem to find anything on this anywhere, but I can't believe I'm the only person who's having this problem.

I regularly use voiceover to read PDFs. There have always been some issues, but I recently updated to High Sierra (10.13.2) and now VO-A will only read a paragraph, MAX. I can't seem to get it to read more than a paragraph at a time. This is highly problematic for my reading needs, as locating my position on the page to navigate to the next paragraph is very difficult for me.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue, or what might be going on? I've always had success using VO-A to read whole documents, provided I didn't need to navigate within the document too much.

Hi Kathryn.
Unfortunately, this is a common issue for everyone who updated their computer to high Sierra. With the second version of high Sierra they improved the navigation but I hope they will fix these bugs in third version. They should fix the bugs because sometimes it's very difficult to read pdfs paragraph by paragraph. I hope they will, but not sure.

Thanks so much Cankut! The weird thing is, my work computer upgraded to High Sierra a few weeks ago, and it doesn't have this problem! It's good to know that I'm not the only one, though. I hope they fix it, too! It makes my home laptop much less useful! :(

I know, it's very difficult and an agony to read pdfs with arrows.
