Ipad mini frozen ios 11

Hi,
I tried to update my ipad mini to ios 11 and everything just stopped working.
I did the home off button thing, nothing. I plugged it into my computer and it does not register. I am not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be great.

Take it to Apple.
I'm sure they could fix it.

I looked up info about it and they said to hold down the home button and off button until I got the update with iTunes flash then plug it in, while iTunes if running on the computer. So I'll get a sighted personb on-board, soon as I have one handy and see if that will work.
