Hello guys!
Recently, I upgraded my mac to high sierra and in contrast to other gradations, this time , mac served quite better and it felt like more faster than previous times. but, as I have turned on the auto-update option in the app store, the automatic updating brought 10.13.2 update which I installed perhaps unknowingly , specially about its outcome.
I don't know why, whether due to this update or any other reason, my mac started being slower, as if hang, and to quit any app it took more than five minutes, while turning the computer, it was ok and slowly the speed was too down that it was frustrating and I had to force shutdown by pressing power key for long. Voiceover became dumb and nothing worked, no apps could opened , only Alex pronounced 'busy' and nothing and most often voiceover was silent and while I showed to sighted ones, again the laptop didn't function and was busy and slow.
Finally, I formatted my mac taking it to my local store and now its ok, but the appstore is again showing the update and is asking me to allow reboot to install that update.
Please guide me for it, its really disturbing in my academic and internet professional and even in my daily life. At the moment, mac works well and should I need to cancel that update forever or the slowness is not due to the update?
Guide me.
Thanks

I can run 10.13.2 without a problem
Hi,
I just upgraded my Mac last week, and it runs fine. What are the specs of your Mac? I had an MBA 11-inch early 2014 with a 1.4GHZ intel Cor I5.
mac upgrading problem
thanks but mine is macbook pro 13 Inches, mid 2012
While I got it , it was of mountain lion and whenever I upgraded to Yosemite, It worked not and finally I had to change my hard disk and use SSD instead . Finally, it worked well and then I upgraded to el capital and sierra and lastly to high sierra and it worked well but whenever the system updates 10.10.13.2 came in app store and I installed it, the computer was only hang and I lastly had to format my laptop and bring back to 10.10.13 , and it works well, the updates are shown in the app store, and am afraid that it may create problems if i do update and yet the newer updates tempt often. :) Thanks
Try to do a clean install of High Sierra
Hi there,
Have you tried a clean install of 10.13.2? You should be able to create a USB installer of High Sierra. Boot it into your USB drive, reformatting your hard drive and do a fresh install of High Sierra. See if that solve the problem.
Perhaps
I have been upgrading from Yosemite to el capital and finally to sierra and high sierra. I think I should do a fresh (direct) install of high sierra that is what you mean by 'clean install' if I am not wrong. or its the other way round, please guide me, thanks
I have been running....
I have been running 10.13.2 for a while now, with no issues. now I am beta testing 10.13.3 with lots to report to apple.
Works Fine Over Here
I'm currently running 10.13.2 and have had no issues with the exception of the slow VO startup. But that doesn't really bother me. Perhaps a clean install will work, as others have said here. The image descriptions have been improved. I've found that the VO-W Command to spell things is rather temperamental, but that's okay by me since I can just as easily turn off QuickNav and use my arrow keys if necessary. All in all I'd say High Sierra is quite good.
Yes, that's what I meant. You
Yes, that's what I meant. You can download the High Sierra installer from Apple App Store, and create a Bootable installer USB.
