iOS and iPadOS

When using voice over on the ipad I do not get a click sound when touching apps as to when touch apps on an iphone there is a clicking sound.
Both my ipad and iphone has IOS 6.01.

Is the software the same for ipad and iphone or it is modified for each unit?

Hi. No the experience should be the same on both devices, so you should be hearing clicks. I do on my iPad. From time to time, on both iPhone and iPad, I lose the click sounds. I usually find that playing around with the volume a bit, such as turning it all the way down and back up again, sorts it out. If not I'm out of ideas I'm afraid.

Hi, I don't actually own an iPad, but I saw one in the store once. If I remember correctly, there's a mute switch. Like the mute switch on the iPhone, if you switch it on/off, it mutes VoiceOver sounds. Try switching it off and see if that helps. Also, I know this might seem a strange way to fix VoiceOver sounds, but when I used my old iPod, when I set an alarm ring sound, I accidentally turned the volume down while the sound was playing, which turned down the VoiceOver sounds, too. Turning the volume back up with an alarm tone or other tone might also work. Lastly, you can do a restore in iTunes, if nothing else. That also fixed my problem once. I hope these suggestions help!
