Help, major problems with APH Refreshabraille 18 and Pages since updating to iOS 11

Since I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I am no longer able to type in Pages with my Refreshabraille. I can sometimes get in a couple of words and then it just stops responding. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I also have the Refreshabraille 18, and as far I know, I can still type with it in Pages.

When I type on it, after a couple of words, it just freezes up and won't let me type anymore. I restart everything and then it does the same thing again. this just started happening with the iOS 11 update. I read somewhere about the need to do the double tap to start the edit function? I tried that too but didn't work. Do you have to do something in addition to that? Do I need to adjust any settings on the iPad? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My student is also having the same problems with iOS 11 and the Refreshabraille. If anyone has found a new setting or workaround that must be done, please share that information. Thanks

I've been having the same problem (iPhone 6s Plus, latest iOS).

Braille is still displayed, but input suddenly stops being registered. It happens so often, it's ridiculous. Refreshabraille/iPhone used to be such a good combination. Now it's messed up. I wish I had stayed on iOS 10.
Very annoying, and an absolute 'productivity distroyer'!

It usually helps to turn off the Braille display and lock the screen, then turn on the display, wait a few seconds, and unlock the screen, or turn off the display, restart VoiceOver, and turn the display back on. But this problem will reoccur many times during the day, no matter what you do.

No, as far as I know, all we can do is to report this: accessibility@apple.com – and hope it will finally get fixed. I have reported 'connection issues' under iOS 11 a couple of times already.

Good luck...
