I just finished talking with an Apple representative, and Apple’s decision is that unless I merge the 80 Blindfold Games into a handful of apps, they will no longer allow new games to be released or allow updates to be make.
From a technology perspective, that’s extremely hard and time-consuming. From a business perspective, that would mean spending hundreds of hours recoding the games, with no possible return-on-investment. Most of the games generate sales in the first three months of the game being released, and I’ve been building these games for 4 years.
From a usability perspective, that means the main menus would be ridiculously complex, and the settings screens would be confusing and almost unusable.
If you are unhappy with this decision, you can express your opinion to Apple. The accessibility desk is at accessibility@apple.com or you can call 1-800-MY-APPLE. Thanks to everyone for enjoying my games.

Oops I appear to have posted in the wrong thread. Sorry. I am looking forward to new games. I am meaning inapp purchases that are bought inside apps.
Deal or not
Hi marty, is it possible that you could use the same type of audience effect that's in the millionaire game to the deal or not? Because I think it would spruce it up much mor. I just got the millionaire and I I like it. I will buy the full pack in a few weeks.
Lode runner or tetris?
I wonder if it's possible to make a blindfold version of those two games?
& this is why we have community
I really think that had Marty not approached this community to let us know what was occurring, & had this community not made our voices heard, the outcome would not be the 1 we're celebrating now. Obviously it doesn't always happen like this, but the truth is if you don't stand up for what you believe in, you won't stand up for anything. & that's no way to live a life, IMO. It's really easy to say, "o, well, it's their decision, there's nothing we can do." It's harder to get out there & contact the right people in order to make your voice heard, but just occasionally, it pays off. So I say "yay Applevis community! We did a great job!" Looking forward to the next victory, wherever we might find it.
Cipher game
AbleTec, the cipher game has already been built. It is called Blindfold Cryptogram. Unlike BG Code Breaker, Blindfold Cryptogram has phrases to decode, not single words.
Programming Voiceover
Marty, I don't know if this suggestion is applicable, but as a Voiceover user, one can tap the screen with 2 fingers to silence speech. That is, it will stop speaking what is currently being spoken, not silencing Voiceover permanently.
Would it be possible to simulate the 2 finger tap when you want to silence or erase some queued text?
Two-finger tap
I do not think it would be possible as some games already use that gesture, and even when the speech is being spoken by VoiceOver, direct touch is still being used to perform the gestures, which means that ththat gesture would first need to be interpreted by the app, then transmitted to VoiceOver.
voiceover
Not from what I've read. When my games are running, I put the screen into direct access mode, so I can pick up all gestures even if voice over is enabled on the phone. Hence, the 2 finger tap won't work, and I haven't seen an api call to do the same thing.
cipher
I'll take a look at bg code breaker, and see if they have any features that would improve cryptogram, and I can probably improve cryptogram a lot. And I'm OK with other programmers looking at how my games operate, and implement my ideas in their games. Leap-frogging each other is what improves a game
latest game sent to the app store?
I know that you let us know that a number based game was the latest game that was sent to the app store. Then the decision was made that almost squashed the entire line's improvement. Good thing it was reversed, for sure!!! Has that game been approved? People will be sliding through this fun little game. It is a classic that I have been really wanting on an iDevice. If it had not been approved, did you have to resubmit it? Thanks.
Slide puzzle
Is in the app store, and I just submitted an update for it. It's in the final rounding open testing before I officially list it.
well, looking forward to it!

crowd sounds in deal or no deal
I think it already does - make sure you don't have the setting LESS SOUNDS turned off.
Blindfold Slide Puzzle
It's in the app store with the most recent update as of a few days ago.
Slide puzzle
I just got the game and I love it. I used to play with these kind of things with tactile stuff but this is much better. I got the hang of it rather quickly.
Game suggestiion
I may have mentioned this in another post but something I really would like to see is a virtual pet game. And a game similar to termite torpedo for Windows on iOs. I really enjoyed that game and toodle tiles and there is allready something that is a lot like tt and I think it would be cool if we could get a similar game to termite torpedo. I agree about pacman. I love pacman. I used to play Pacman Talks on windows but I would really like this for iOs because I don’t have a computer. My favourite game is still pyramid tiles. This game is awesome. I had been looking for a game like this and even found it right before it was listed. I don’t know how I came across this. I believe I was going to see the list of games and then I found this interesting and got it and love it. Thanks for all the games.

We won, petitions rock !
As soon as I found the petition for keeping Blindfold games alive, I signed it. I love these games and play them a lot. Sure, I don’t have all of them, but I do enjoy ones I do have. Blindfold Racer, Bowling, RS games, and Clue are some of my favorites! I’m so happy we won and I can’t wait for the next game from Marty.
