From what I listen with Jonathon M at blind side podcast if you have your phone close to your face is easy to setup face ID. Heidi from the podcast was suggesting to Jonathon to hold phone still and to use a clock rotation and not move the phone. the phone needs to be front of your face to setup face ID.
Hi, thanks. Yes you do need to have it in front of your face, with the screen facing you of course. And yes once I successfully had my face in frame, I did only move my head around in a circle.
Perhaps I will try it closer to my face, though as you may have heard in the podcast, Apple recommends a distance of 25 to 50 centimetres.
Interested to hear how other people are finding it too.
after I unlock my new IPhone with Face-ID it doesn't unlock in the same second like touch-ID. I must swipe a finger a Little bit up to unlock it.
Moreover Voiceover only anounce if a notification cames for example from WhatsApp Voiceover only says: "WhatsApp notification." After I unlock the IPhone with Face-ID Voiceover read out the complete Textmessage.
Does anyone else knows the problem?
Yes, but that is actually there by design. The idea is for privacy. If somebody picks up your phone, they will only see that there is a notification from WhatsApp or Messages, but not the detail. Only you can see the full detail by unlocking it with FaceID.
I think it would be nice though to have the option to go straight to your home screen when you unlock, and not have to swipe up. But some people would prefer the way it is so that they can just look at the lock screen. So an option would be nice.
would you please update this bodcast if needed? how to setup face-id and how to unlock phone after that?
how about attention should be off? but this is less security.
How do you get your face centered in the phone screen without using sighted assistance? And how does one consistently get one's face centered when using face ID?

I would've liked to hear you unlocking the phone with Face ID.
I would have liked to hear you unlocking your phone with Face ID just to have an idea how fast it does it. Good podcast. Thank you.

No need to update
No need to update. It hasn't changed.
What's the trick?
How do you get your face centered in the phone screen without using sighted assistance? And how does one consistently get one's face centered when using face ID?
