Accessibility Comments

Now you can search and double tap the results to open the show info, then you can follow it or not. To mark the episode as watched or not now you need to enter the episode info, this is a VoiceOver issue but Max is aware of it and will be fixed soon.

Hey Raul,

I plan to thoroughly go back through the app and make sure Voice Over works perfect at every screen for the next update. I'll definitely focus on search results as well. Let me know if there are any other specific areas you have found that could use improvements, I'd love to improve it.

Best,
Maximilian

As far as I could find only the search field has accessibility issues. I went through all tabs, the settings, cast and crew and comments. Everything is perfectly usable with VoiceOver.
I didn't try notifications because I watch shows at a different speed.

Before buying this app I tried next episode, it had quite a lot of accessibility issues. I emailed the dev and he gave me a typical response. Some weeks later no update is expected. Fortunately that was a free app.
I don't regret at all paying 2.99€ for Television Time.

PS. Does it work with movies

Hello, what tv channels are we talking about? Is it just bunch of shows or intire tv channels. And what tv channels are we talking about? Many thanks.

By Raul on Thursday, February 23, 2017 - 14:51

No, this is an app to keep track of the shows you're watching, not a tv app

I just bought the app thank you so much I hope the search thing gets fixed but I love it so far!

How do spotlight searches work? Are results supposed to appear when typing a show's name? All I get are wikipedia and internet links, and sometimes app names and map routes. Do I need to configure something? Or maybe the same search results issue is affecting spotlight?

Hi,

I noticed that the phone heats when using the app. It is an iPhone SE so performance shouldn't be an issue.
How is the update going?
Thanks ☺

Hi all, I am posting on here in hopes the app developer might see this, I contacted him I think it was at the beginning or middle of January with some questions and suggestions. Maybe someone else might be able to answer my questions, though it would be nice if I could hear back from him on my suggestions for improving the app.
I wanted to ask him if there is a way I can track specific episodes of shows to find out when they are going to be broadcast again, as there are some shows where I don't have audio described copies and because audio description isn't on the dvds I have to capture them from tv if they are rebroadcast. so I would like the ability to find out when new episodes of shows are on, but to track older episodes to find out when they are broadcast again, two different functions.
I also suggested to the developer that he could have an actions menu on the rotor with common tasks like track show, mark episode as watched or other common tasks.etc, I am also experiencing an issue where sometimes I go to track a show and the app crashes when I tap the track button, though when I reopen the app the show has usually been tracked.
I would also be interested to know if there is a similar app to television time for radio shows.

Hey there,

Sorry for the late response. I've been working on a movie version of the app and also have a full time job so sometimes emails get lost or they take me awhile to read and respond to. Unfortunately I do not have access to when episodes will re-run, so I cannot add notifications for them. The data comes from TheTVDB.com and they only support original country first air date for every episode.

As for the accessibility suggestion, I have added it to my todo list and I will into implementing it and improving accessibility support!

thanks for the response, sure I understand you have other things going on as well, thanks for answering my questions, that's a shame there is no way to find out when episodes will rerun, I might try emailing the site where you get your information from and suggest they could add this as a feature as I think it would be very useful information, and presumably they could scrape it automatically from other websites.
