Hey guys,

I've been blind for two years now and I've been thinking, could Blizzard make Hearthstone accesible? I know it would be very, very hard but not impossible. Maybe if we gather some people and send mails to Blizzard they will try. What do you think?

I'm sure they could make it accessible. But, unfortunately, I doubt they will. Could be worth a try, though.

Hi everybody,

I love Hearthstone a lot. It would be great to get that game to be accessible. And while there is a time component involved in the gameplay, I am pretty sure that the gameplay could be made fully accessible.

The game was made in Unity. I also happen to have written a plugin that can make Unity games accessible (I wrote it when creating Crafting Kingdom). It's not a magic tool, and there's still a lot of work involved to make it not just basically, bare-minimum accessible, but actually playable and fun. But it's a very good start.

It's a long shot, I know, but I have send a voucher for a free copy of the plugin to Blizzard and offered help with the implementation as well. Maybe my mail will fall into the right hands.

What I do know is that Blizzard has very high quality standards. And whatever they do, they wouldn't release anything unless it was living up to these high standards. So they might never do it, but if they would indeed decide to make it accessible, then it would probably end up being one of the best accessible games around.

Thanks for taking that step! Who knows. And thanks for making your game accessible. Are you low vision yourself?
