Some questions about my new MacBook

Hello,
I am hoping that someone can answer some questions for me regarding the new MacBook Pro with the touch bar.

I am struggling to figure out the screen curtain command.

As well as how to use the new toucher when trying to do VO specific commands, in order for this action to be done using the keyboard instead of having to open the rotor?

I was able to try it at the store and did not think it would be too difficult of a learning curve; however I am finding that I was incorrect.
It also appears as though some of the keys such as next button when on a webpage do not work.
Does anyone know if there is a way to assign a command to safari so that voice over will find the next button on the webpage?

Thank you for your help.
Jennifer

Hi, the commands for the touch bar in generally is very reduced, i suggest to use the track padfof your mac to navigate between linksand other elements. i like to navigate with the keybord, but you can cross between elements like you do on your iPhone, it's very similer to use the touch screen of iPhone.

Hi,

The easiest way to toggle the screen curtain remains the three finger triple tap on the trackpad.

With regards to VO specific commands with the TouchBar, one simple trick helped me when setting up a new MBP with TouchBar...VO plus Function plus the corresponding Number performs the same as VO plus Corresponding Function Key.
OK, that was a terrible explanation so maybe a direct comparison will help...

To show Running Applications, you could either:
VO F1 on a non touch bar MBP.
Or
VO plus Function plus try and find F1 on Touch Bar MBP.
Or
VO plus Function plus the Numeric 1 key on Touch Bar MBP.

The same applies as you move along the Function keys, F2 equals the Numeric 2 key , F3 equals the Numeric 3 Key and so on. Anyway, simple as this is, I thought it was a neat trick that took some of the guess work out of using the TouchBar.

Hello,

VoiceOver has a few different ways to navigate websites. If you want to use a single key, turn on Quick Nav and press VO q to enable single letter quick nav. Now press thel etter b to jump to the next button. Add shift to go back. You can go into VoiceOver Utility and change the keys. Just navigate to the commanders category and select the quick nav tab.
