Hello, all
Since I downloaded iOS 11, in WIFI I see the message "weak security, secure network. This was not an issue with iOS 10. Before I always got secure network only. My network is OK. I reset my netnetwork, my network is in 2 private. Is this a bug or something else.

Hi.
I'd check your security protocol. I'm not running ios 11, I am running ios. 10, but when I connect to my wi-fi, I get a security recommendation that says the network security protocol is weak. I've had this happen on my ipad, and I just ignore it. I can use it just fine without an issue. It'll do that if it's WPA2, from what I've seen.
If you cannot do what you do regularly on your device, (get email, surf the web etc), then the only thing I can think of for you to do is forget your network and set it up again. You could wipe your device and start over too, I guess, but that seems a little extreme to me. Plus, I'm unsure if that will help you. And that seems like a lot of trouble to go through to get your wi-fi network to stop bugging you about security when it's secure.
No, NO, NO. The protocol you
No, NO, NO. The protocol you should be using is WPA2 personal. You should not be using WEP or WPA. both of those are deprecated protocols that DO NOT provide the necessary security for the modern day. You should also consider updating passwords to contain A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and other punctuation symbols.
WIFI
Yes. I have it as W2 personal. It says so in my PC.
weak password
Hello,
I think the IOS is letting you know you are connecting to a wifi with a weak security. Any info you send or receive on the wifi connection might get compromised.
If you own the router, make sure the Wifi password is at least 8 characters, consisting of letters, numbers and at least one capital.
Or better yet, get a VPN on your IOS then you need not worry when you connect to public and private wifis.
HTH and good luck.
David GPN?
Before iOS 11, this was not an issue. It is a private WIFI. What is a GPN?
VPN
A virtual private network, VPN, is a type of connection that, among other things, secures your network traffic by routing it through a tunnel so as to mask its origin. For example, you may want to use a VPN to connect to a website without that website knowing your location or browsing habits. This may also be an effective way to help prevent your ISP from collecting data about your network and browsing habits and using that information to deliver targeted advertisements.
There are a number of apps that allow you to configure a VPN connection on your iOs device.
