AnyList Works Well with VO
I just started using this app today and I have found it to be quite functional. Once an item is added, you can easily select which isle it belongs in or even create a new isle. If you do the paid subscription version, (frown, frown), then you can also add items to specific stores and create multiple lists. I don't particularly appreciate when an app developer creates a subscription model. I would rather pay once and be done. But, beyond that, the app works quite nicely.
According to the impressive help section, you can give the app permission to access the Reminders app. Then you can use Siri and add an item to the Reminders app. Then, each time the AnyList app is reopened, it automatically pulls in the data from the Reminders list.
the original poster indicated that it didn't seem to perform very well, when using VoiceOver, but this was back in 2012. Perhaps the app updates have resolved whatever problems were encountered, because, beyond a slight learning curve in the app, I have no problems. It's really nice that you can browse your list by isle, simply by utilizing the headings feature on the rodor.
So, if you got stuck with a now defunct 32 bit grocery shopping app as I did, I highly recommend giving the AnyList a try. They have a nice help section, where you can become more acquainted with the apps wealth of features.
Enjoy. and happy shopping.
