Hello there. Is there anyone who plays word war who might be able to help please? How do i go about setting up a live battle with an opponent? That's to say, the live game in which you can send out smoke bombs if wished, not the timed games, which are the only ones i seem to be able to find. Many thanks in advance for any help. I've listened to the help guide multiple times but nowhere does it tell me how to set up a live game, only what i can do once it's set.

I will have to investigate this, if this means that we can play Word War as a turn-based game. That sounds more doable than anything
I have seen so far. I got the game, then deleted it, because I thought the time-based battles were the only kind it had.

Yes the timed games are all i can find as well, and yet the help guide clearly discusses live battles, albeit briefly, without explaining how to set one up. Even more annoying, i have played one live battle before but got no idea how i created it - i think i literally did it by accident back when i didn't have a clue how the app worked. So frustrating! Lol :)
Creating Live Battles
Before you can set up a live battle, you must first choose either a person from your friends list or someone from the list of all users who are currently online.

Yes, got that far, but once i have my opponent the only choice seem to be timed battles. Apologies if the original question wasn't clear.

Here is an exerpt from the forum entiutled "AppA11y's first game now available", which talks about live battles:
"The live games have proven to be challenging with all of the network synchronization that is needed.. but it is getting
better every day!"
So it appears that the devs are aware of some issues relating to being able to do the live battles. I'm certain that, with future updates, these issues will be resolved and then we can do the live battles, as well.
Once you select your opponent
Once you select your opponent, hit the battle button. Then, you can flick until you hear live battle button. Again, this only appears if the person is online. Once you have tapped on the live battle button, the option to choose 30 seconds or 60 seconds appears. Select the desired time, and then the game board will appear after the person has excepted your challenge. Hope this helps.
