Bluetooth headsets, A2DP and VoiceOver

Hello!

When i buy a headset to my ios device, is it still important that the headset has a2dp to work with Voiceover?

Unless, it’s a really old, or cheap Bluetooth headset, most come with A2DP.
You may want to look for AptX and/or BLE on your next Bluetooth headset for low-latency and long-battery life.

As far as I'm aware, all bluetooth headphones and speakers support A2DP. If they don't, you won't get high quality stereo audio. iOS doesn't support ApTX. I use the Miccus SR-71 headphones with my iPhone 5S and there is about half a second of lag even though this headset supports ApTX and ApTX low latency. Is the 5S too old to take advantage of the increased responsiveness of bluetooth audio?
