Accessing Facebook Chat Using macOS

Hi everyone,

Is it just me or have the latest updates to Facebook's desktop site rendered access to Facebook chats using Mac OS's Voice Over virtually impossible? I cannot access the messages in the chats. Every time I try, I keep being brought back to the box to enter my messages. I have also tried accessing Facebook chat on the WINDOWS side using NVDA and JAWS , but I get the same result? Has anyone else experienced or is experiencing this?

Try using messenger.com instead. For the full site, try to turn off cursor tracking with vo-shift-F3, which might solve your problem. Just remember to turn it back on when you're done chatting as it makes it so that the keyboard focus doesn't follow VoiceOver around.

After I turn off cursor tracking, how do I access the messages? I only get the title button that says "Start of chat."
