Hey all, has anyone been able to read IRC output with braille easily in any client? I'm looking for a solution for a deafblind client of mine. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
Did you ever find a good solution for irc in braille?
I am looking now.
For many years I used a versabrailler with linux, and that worked very well.
But the vb died recently.
I now use a braillesense u2, and it is not doing well on irc.
Main probrm is it jumps around every time new text comes in.
I can only irc if the chat is glacially slow.
Ios has no way to turn off cursor tracking.
I have read that osx does, but I hate to buy a mac just for irc, even tho I love it.
I have had success using Coloquy on iOS in a slow room, but I am by no means a heavy IRC user. I knew several people in this room, which was the only reason I was there.

So what have you found?
partial solution
Using linux on a desktop with the brltty program I can do it.
Still not so good as the old versabrailler, but doable.
Coloquy on iOS would work for slow chats
