As of 10/06/2012, this app is fully accessible. They totally revamp this app as of July of this year. They have made strides in addressing accessability issues.

I remember hearing Alexander Scourby's fantastic narration of the KJV bible years ago on a site that utilized Real Audio files. I'm considering getting this app for my iPod Touch, but I'm wondering if the current version as of November 2012, 1.2, is still usable with Voiceover? I gather from the previous comments that it is, but just like to make sure before I spend $20.00.

Hi, I've gotten this app and hope I'm not sorry I did so. It does indeed seem very accessible though there are times when it seems like I can't get myself back to for instance the part of the screen where the menu button is if I'm in text. But my actual question is once you select your book and chapter for instance how on earth do you get the Scourby narration to read it to you? I'm sure it's probably ridiculously obvious and I'm just missing it but so far it eludes me completely. Thanks in advance for your help and overlooking my apparent brain power lack today (smile).

To play the Scourby bible, find the home button at the bottom center of the screen. Move straight up from there. You will find a select button. Move up again and you will find the play button. Double tap to begin playing and double tap again to stop play. HTH

Hi, Thanks ever so much I never would have come upon that myself. Someone so needs to do a podcast on this thing. I did find that there are times after my selection finished playing that VoiceOver didn't seem to want to speak properly and I had to play around quite a bit to get it back to behaving for me. I'd read that you can also change the speed of the Scourby narration. Might you know where that is? Thanks again for your help.
