Description of App
Blindfold Pyramid Tiles is a fully accessible solitaire puzzle inspired by matching games such as Pyramid Puzzles, for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.
In each puzzle, the tiles are laid on in several levels, where some tiles are on top of other tiles. The goal of the puzzle is to remove pairs of matching tiles. You can remove a tile if no other tile is on top of it, and there is no tile to both the left or the right. Hence, if the tiles on a row are 1, 2, 3 and 4, you can remove tiles 1 and 4. You cannot remove tiles 2 and three since they have tiles touching them on both the left and right sides.
The game comes with several different tile layouts, and you can chose your level of difficulty. You earn 2 points each time you complete a match.
Blindfold Pyramid Tiles comes with coins to play for free, and then you can additional coins or unlimited play.
Blindfold Pyramid Tiles was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoy solitaire games, and games with mahjong-like tiles.
Comments
Great game but I found a bug I think.
when I swipe up two fingers to play the game again it won't let me.
also a suggestion
I also think it would be a good idea to have a sound to let people know that the cell that they are on is empty. something along the lines of a gong to differentiate it from the zip pop sound that signifies a tile is free to move. :-)
Empty cell
It tells you if a cell is empty with a tone, or it might say empty.
Play again
I think the play again action is swipe up 1 finger, not 2.
spoken instruction wrong I think.
that's not what the instruction says. Just letting you know.
Fingers
Thanks. I'll fix that.
couple of other things
I keep getting a the entire level is empty message when the level isn't empty. Also I am unable to purchase the replay upgrade it comes up as product not identified.
Empty level
When that occurs, do you know how many cells are not empty at that time?
Is it always on the same level?
answer
no I'm not sure how many blocks are filled but I am aware that some of them are.
clarification
having played the game a couple of times I've since realised that I receive the level is empty message when there are two matches left on the level.
Also, when I resume the game straight after I finished one all tiles are reported as empty and I have to start a new game.
tiles reported as empty
Please send me an email from the app the next time this happens
Confused?
Okay this is wierd. For some reason I have tiles named confused. What are they for?
I found a bug
It is possible to get points by matching empty tiles. I assume this is a bug. This has become my favourite game by far. I have really been looking for these types of games and I was one of the first to find it.
Youtube video
I actuallty made a video of this game. It is my favourite blindfold game.
matching empty tiles
That shouldn't work, but if you are finding it does, send an email to me from the game.
Video of the game
If you made a video, you should send me a copy. I will try to post it somewhere so other people can access it
Will have to redo it
Now that I prefer to use a keyboard I may have to redo the video. I will try to do it later today as I don’t want to even think about actually doing it in the middle of the night.

Is where you can find it but if you want I can send you the video file. I still have it.
Wow
I just had my staff play this game. She was really good. The fun part was that since she couldn¨t see wich tiles were blocked she would have to learn how to go between levels. She did it on my iPad, using a bluetooth keyboard.
I had her try Breakout as well. She beat my high score. I really have to practice on that.
I do believe it is easier for a blind person to play Pyramid Tiles because it is easier to understand the level layout. I have made a podcast of this game, wich is linked in this directory entry. I think I did it pretty good but I did one mistake; I said that to go to the first tile in the level you flick up with two fingers, wich is incorect. It is a swipe left with two fingers. I am so used to using a keyboard. I would like there to be a shortcut for going to the last tile in the llllevel.

We are starting to create bundles of apps for schools, so schools can using their volume purchasing plan with apple to get games at a discount. Email me directly marty@blindfoldgames.org, and we can talk about how adding this game to the navigation and gesture might also be useful.
Frustrating but addictive game and possible bugs?
Firstly, let me say, I am fairly new to this game. This, along with Blindfold Color Crush are my favourite apps by far. However, I seem to have some bugs. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Firstly, I am hearing the sound to indicate that a tile can be moved on empty cells. Also, when there is a tile there, rather than hearing the name of the tile, I hear the coordinates. I have also tried playing the puzzle with two levels of 10 and six, and I get to the point where I am told that one pair can be removed. The problem is, when I look at my tiles, they are all blocked and there doesn’t seem to be a pair for me to remove. Is this just me? Also, I have purchased the unlimited play ad on, but if I wish to replay it again, I am asked to make another in app purchase. I did see this option available, but assumed, possibly incorrectly, that if I have purchased unlimited play, then I could play prior games again also. Is this wrong? Again, great app and I would love to see more of these types of games. I prefer them To a lot of the other games you have :-) thank you for all your efforts.
I Love it but Dev Not responding
Hi folks. I love this game but I've found a couple of bugs i.e. I get the zip pop pop sound to indicate that a tile can be swapped when I am on a blank square. I have also had tiles called confused as well. I have emailed the dev but no response. Do we know if he's okay?
