Hello there,
I have been performing a discharge cycle on all my devices (Iphone, macbookpro etc) that is charging it fully to 100%, getting it down to 10 20% and charging it to 100% again.
I was aware that after the Iphone reaches 100% it goes to AC power,so its ok to leave it there for a while, without harming its battery.
Today I have learned that the same applys to the macbooks/ macbookpros etc, so as long as you let the battery discharge now and then, its alright to leave it plugged in, in fact its better for your battery if you do so.
My question is, does this happen on bootcamp, too? as I couldn't find any information as regards bootcamp and whether or not the charging stops and the mbp can be used with the charger connected after the battery has reached 100%.
In my other old laptops, if you left the battery plugged in after it was done charging, after a few months, you'd see that the battery doesn't hold as much charge as its supposed to,and would run out in a few hours minutes depending on the condition of the battery's degradation.
I am trying to maximise my mbps battery life before I have to get it replaced, and yes, my mbp is used more like a desktop and less like a notebook :D that is,it is used far more on a desk where wall chargers are available as aposed to out and about.
Any ideas suggestions on this are welcome.
Thank you!

Good to Know...
I have actually heard the exact opposite, so this is good information to have. May I just ask where you got this information? A tutor of mine turns on my charger a lot of the time when he's here. I appreciate this and have told him so, but he's not really an Apple person. Kind of but not really. Like you, I have left my MacBook Air plugged into the charger while charger is still on but charge is complete. Nothing bad seems to be happening, at least as far as I can tell.
