Help Make a Fun STEM Learning Tool Accessible to All

Hello, everyone,
Recently, one of my friends discovered an amazing computer programming learning tool from Anki, called the Cozmo robot. We were very excited of course (the robot is fun to play with after all, and we have always wanted to learn computer programming), but when we downloaded the app that is used to control it, we were dismayed and frustrated to find that it is totally inaccessible with VoiceOver.

When we wrote to Anki customer care to inform them of the issue, we received a form letter giving no indication that they had read or processed our email.

So we drafted this petition in hopes that, if we gather enough support, the developers will realize that accessibility is a concern which must be taken seriously. We did this not just for the many blind and visually impaired people who could be enjoying and learning from the Cozmo application and others like it, but also for all app developers, so that they may understand the barriers created by inaccessible software.

If you support STEM education and learning opportunities for the blind, accessible software development, and/or equal opportunities for blind children to learn programming along with their sighted peers, we invite you to sign our petition by clicking the link below or copying the URL into your address bar, then filling out the form. Thank you so much in advance for your support!

Hi, I signed the petition. Accessibility should be universal in my opinion

I also just signed this petition, and agree with your mission. Thanks for posting.
