Hi all, does anyone know of a voiceover friendly english to french and french to english dictionary for ios? italian would also be useful. i know that in ios 11 we can apparently ask siri to do translation, but i need an authoritative dictionary for some work i am undertaking complete with usage examples verb conjugations where possible. would be really useful, though i doubt it, if voiceover in ios cdread the english, with an english tts and the foreign speech in its language especially when looking at verbs. Try Ultralingua for iOS. I think there's a trial period available for each module. You buy the basic dictionary and then choose to add in-app purchases for the languages you want. The developer was very cooperative in making this aapp accessible. It's got conjugation as well. Its mac version is definitely accessible. I use it very often.

How reliable "is" google translate these days? I remember in many instances years ago its translations were ... unique to say the least. I'm sure it must have grown a lot since then though. Speak and Translate has some potential as well. Essentially you set two languages, then say or write what you want translated from one to another. It seems pretty decent. I don't use it extensively, but it's helped me out a few times. It isn't free, but it's cheep, and there's a trial where you can have several translations a day. It's not 100% accessible, but it's pretty decent with some workarounds. I might have to look at Ultralingua though.
