Hi all,
Was just wondering I am totally blind is there any way of taking pictures with the camera app on the IPhone 7 or is there an app that you can use to take clear pictures. Any directions on how to do so would be appreciative. Thanks

Experimentation
I am totally blind too. Try apps like TapTapSee which will tell you roughly what things are, or Selfiex which takes your selfie for you and is a really great app to start experimenting with. I'd write more, but I made a mistake and deleted all my text by mistake. Just try it. Trial and error, persistance and experimentation will help a lot. Good luck.
A book suggestion
Hi. Look at national braille press. They have a book, can't remember what it's called right now, coffee hasn't entered my brain yet. ;) Also use the camera app. It will say something like "One face, top right edge." You move the phone, listen again. You want to press the volume up button, when you hear "One large face, centered." Or one face centered. I think the name of the book is picture perfect, how to take pictures with an iphone. The author is judith dixon. Hope that helps.
my best recommendation, BeSpecular
I am totally blind too, and I take pictures of my cat and wife all of the time. The tips that people have mentioned are great. Also you might want to experiment with the different flash settings. I believe it defaults to auto, which you would think would be the best option for us, but sometimes I have found that I get better results in low lighting if I just switch the flash to on.
The best tip I can give is to use BeSpecular after you take your pictures, to find out which ones are good. I have used dozens of apps to id things and get info about pictures, and BeSpecular has been the best by far. What I typically do is take several pictures, tweaking the placement of the camera, flash, etc. and then upload them to BeSpecular to find out if they are any good. The sighted people on BeSpecular are very helpful, and they will usually give you a great understanding of your pictures. I will normally just say something like, "Hi, I was trying to get a picture of my cat in this Drawer, can you see the cat well, is she centered, can you tell she is in a Drawer, is the picture blurry or anything, is it a decent picture? "
Remember you can upload several pictures to a single BeSpecular request. Good luck and happy snapping.
