Description of App
Rumola is a new application. It takes the guesswork out of the CAPTCHA test. Rumola reads the letters and numbers and puts them in the box for you. Open an account and download Rumola for a free test - you can run Rumola ten times (one week) to prove it works. If you are satisfied, the first $0.99/$1.95 into the account buys you 60/160 credits where one credit = one input in a CAPTCHA box. Credit units are limited by time and will expire if they are unused! Thereafter, buy credits as you need them.
Ideally, we ensure you can navigate the Internet as if there are no CAPTCHA tests. Rumola finds CAPTCHAs automatically, starts the recognition process and alerts you when the tests have been solved. To empower you as a blind or visually-impaired person, a voiceover notification system has been added. There are three important warnings:- Before the recognition process is completed, please do not touch or change the box containing the text field to which the CAPTCHA solution must be written! This immediately stops the Rumola application from working on the current page.
- The extension automatically recognizes one captcha per page. If, for any reason, Rumola's captcha solution is cancelled and a new captcha test is loaded in the page, the second must be asked manually.
- Sometimes it will happens that Rumola will be failed to find correct CAPTCHA image and text field to enter a solution. In that cases remember that you can always use the context menu to select the correct CAPTCHA image and the text field where the characters are to be entered.

Is Rumola dead?
It doesn't seem to work anymore. I installed it on Safari and logged on to my account, but it wouldn't find captchas.
Re: is Rumola dead?
Hmmm. It stumps me, that it is not working for you. I've used it in Google chrome ones not that long ago, so I wonder why it isn't working. I know it hasn't been updated in a while.
I think it might be. The
I think it might be. The safari extension has ben dead for a while I think they just moved on to chrome. Give that a try if it does not work there it is dead.
Rumola is working in Safari, however
Hello,
I have just tried the Rumola plug-in in the latest version of Safari, and it's working for both the 5 trial entries and the 50 purchased entries for $0.99. However, it fails on certain sites when using Safari, but Google Chrome was okay in my case.
To be specific, it does not work on sites which display the CAPTCHA image in a certain way that in Safari it cannot be searched automatically by Rumola plug-in. In my testing, such sites were the same sites where, in Safari, I couldn't find the CAPTCHA image as a item which I could select using the VoiceOver cursor. Since I couldn't select the image, I was not even able to tell Rumola manually using a context menu VO + Shift + M on that image that this was the image which should be recognized.
However, when I tried such sites in Chrome and with its Rumola plug-in, using VoiceOver cursor, the CAPTCHA image was selectable, and also the automatic CAPTCHA search was working. So for those otherwise preferring Safari, it might be better to use Chrome temporarily in the cases when CAPTCHA has to be solved.
By the way, there is another, recently created plug-in for Google Chrome called CAPTCHA Be Gone which works by automatically searching the CAPTCHA and placing the code in the clipboard after pressing a keyboard shortcut. Although, it's much more expensive than Rumola. The developers are allegedly already working on mobile and desktop versions for Safari.
Kind regards
