Just wanted to share some information about Weather Gods and the notifications.
The good news is we've been working hard to move our notification system into the cloud and we have just recently started beta testing the new system,
So far, so good, and fingers crossed we will have an update on the App Store in a couple of weeks.
This means that you will no longer have to remember to keep Weather Gods in the app switcher :) It should also means a small saving in battery usage as well.
However, in order to move to the new system it is important that you update to the latest update if you are on version 1.0.8 or less - we see from our server logs that there are still a few people running the older versions on a daily basis.
I think you will all like the change to how we deliver the notifications :)

Can't wait for this next update you have fbanned Scott! From what you'<e said about it, t's bound to be a big one!
Will we be able to acceis weather alerts (tornado warnings etc) after we update to the knew version, or will that come in a later update? Can't wait and thanks!
No Notifications
I am running the latest available build, yet, for the last few days, I have not received my much anticipated 7am and 7pm weather updates. I have the app in the task switcher.
Is this an expected part of the transition process?

No Notifications
Nope, the transition wont affect the current system, but the new system is far more robust.
I've mentioned in the past that the device can switch off our heartbeat notification system when it detects low battery, no network, software updates etc etc
This new system wont suffer from those kind of problems - I'm sure there will be other things, but not those :)

Notice recently that the app does not give you notification. I get them here and them before I got them daily and regularly.
Notifications are working for me
I just downloaded the app yesterday for the first time when I saw that notifications follow you now. Notifications are working pretty well for me at this point. I can't wait to see what the new system is like. I love this app!!!!! Thanks for all your work on it.

Notifications Are Working Here
Like the subject says, notifications are working here. I'm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and they work perfectly. I'm very happy with the purchase of this app.
