why do you prefer it over the lire app?
The subject says it all. Why do you prefer it over the lire app. In what way is it better than lire? Many thanks.
Itchy feet
Being frank, I probably switched to this app simply because that's what I do - I typically get itchy feet after using the same app for a while; and am always looking for the 'next big thing'.
Having said that, I am currently finding the user experience with this app a little more satisfying than lire. But, this is a subjective thing, and will depend upon personal tastes and use cases.
This app does offer probably more customisation than any other RSS reader that I have used. Much of this is visual, but there is enough that's not to allow me to fine tune the overall user experience to my tastes.
The test will come in a few days, when my trial of the premium features ends. The one that I would miss is full text retrieval of articles. I can't picture not having this, but it's something that I can get from lire without any further expense.
As it stands right now, I might be tempted to throw $5 at a subscription just as a thank you to the developer for the explicit VoiceOver support in the app.
I saw that there is a pro version of this app
Hello, I saw that there is a pro version of this app, maybe it is an alternative to the pay as you go subscription model. Maybe you could check it out and let us know. In the mean time, I simply wait to hear from you after you play with the app a bit more. Perhaps some detailed comparison would be nice.
Developer was unaware of the pop up menu issues
Hi,
I reached out to Lukas, the developer for Fiery Feeds and he was not aware of the problem with the pop up menus. He appreciated being made aware of the issue and he will address this during a UI update that is underway. No specific timeframe has been given, but good to know he will address the issue.
