Hi everyone. I'm planning on buying a MacBook. Before I do I have some questions. I know Apple's Voiceover is accessible with a variety of apps from Apple. What's the level of accessibility of Voiceover with Google Products such as Google Slides, Google Chrome, Google Docs, Google Forms and other Google Drive related apps? Does it only support reading these things or also from Creating documents to Writing to adding tables Etc to Formatting to comprtely finishing the Document? If Voiceover isn't accessible with them, then for those who have used Jaws for Windows and Nvda which one is fully accessible with these applications? What's the accessibility level of Voiceover with Pages from Apple on the Mac and Keynote on the Mac? If a person is getting a Mac do you think it's a good idea to also buy Jaws additionally for Windows being set through Bootcamp rather than Nvda?

I Can Only Answer Part...
I can only answer part of your questions. I've read several documents using Pages, and it works great with VoiceOver. Apparently the good folks at Apple have included headings for Pages in OS Sierra version 10.12.4 , but I haven't used this feature so can't speak to it's reliability. I have used VoiceOver with Google Chrome, and last I checked they got along okay together but filling out forms didn't work. This may have changed, but I've yet to find out. I also use the latest build of Chromevox with the Chrome browser, and it works pretty well for the most part. A website must be opened in Chrome though in order for this version of Chromevox to work. As to your other questions I don't know.
Re: Screen Readers Levels Of Accesssbility With Ctain Apps
Hi there. Thanks for this information it will be awesome if my other questions are answered sometimes as well. Thanks.
From my experience, no Google
From my experience, no Google product is completely accessible with either Jaws, NVDA, or Voiceover. Out of the three of those, I'd say that Voiceover is the least useable and NVDA is the most usuable, with Jaws falling somewhere in between. Note: I am running an older version of Jaws so can't speak for the latest developments. Honestly the IOS apps are the best way I've found to access Google services, but I try to avoid Google as much as possible because of the lack of accessibility. I am currently using a MacBook Air with Pages as my main word processor, Dropbox as an alternative to Google Docs, and Firefox instead of Chrome. I'm planning on getting NVDA up and running in a Virtual machine in the near future so I can have the Windows version of MS Word though because Pages simply isn't quite on par with that experience.
Re: Screen Readers Levels Of Accesssbility With Ctain Apps
Hi there. What version of Jaws are you using?
Please keep on-topic
A polite reminder that seeking help or information about Windows screen readers is off-topic for AppleVis unless it specifically relates to their use with Apple software.
In all other cases, these kind of discussions should be taken to somewhere more appropriate.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
