iOS and iPadOS

hi all, i am now deciding here in the uk, whether to go for an iphone 6s, 7, or se. the se is cheaper on a pay monthly contract, but, as i have never had 3d touch, would i need it in general day-to-day use?i like the size of the se, and when i first had this iphone 6 12 or more months ago i did not like the size, but i do miss the compactness of the 5s and or se. i just don't want to get a 6s and or 7 if i wouldn't use 3d touch. i have an ipad mini for a bigger screen so just am torn as to what to do. thoughts?thanks Will

It depends the only really useful thing that I do with 3D Touch is press the side of the phone to go to the app switcher. Also pressing on the send button to get to message effects is nicer than double tapping and holding. The little menus are nice although I don't really use them. It is really up to your preference you can definitely live without it and all the normal iPhone features will work fine. If you like the smaller size go for the SE. If you think that you want 3D Touch cause it might make things a little faster than go with the 6S or 7. I use a 6S and it is a little big but it didn't take long for me to get used to it. There is something to be said for that nice small size. I have an iPod Touch and I love how small it is. So it really is just a matter of your preference.

Hollo. I use 3-D touch for a few things, like opening stories in the native News app.3-D touch is used quite often if you're a VO. user.

But, I'd go to your Apple store & play with a device that has 3-D touch & one that doesn't so you can make a more informed decision if you can. But in my opinion, you need 3-D touch.
Hope this helps.

It's a personal preference. Personally, I don't use it at all and turned the feature off. I found it a real hindrance when setting up my 7 from scratch. Since my previous iPhone was a 6, I wasn't used to it and my screen was jumping all over the place.
