Hi guys,
I use a Focus blue 40 brailledisplay from Freedom Scientiffic sometimes on IOS to read books on IBooks or type a to-do-list or type friends in WhatsApp.
Today I wanted to create me a to-do-list on the notes app.
Normally, when I type the letters it doesn't exist a delay. The letters comes on my braille display without any problems. But today I noticed that if I type my words it come a big delay. For example the word "hello" appears instead of a second in 5 seconds.
Have someone the same problem? And finally, what do you think is the cause. Is it a little issue caused by Apple or its my device?
Thanks for the answers

question & possible solution
Hello there!
I have have a question for you. What version of ios. are you running?
If you are not running ios 10.2, then I'd strongly advise getting it. When Apple released ios. 10.2, there was an issue that caused braille display typing to be slow & non-responsive at times. However, the issues were fixed in ios. 10.2.1. So if you can & haven't upgraded your device, then do that and consider your problem solved.
If anything else, you can turn your device off/on again. Also try that with the display.
But, in my opinion, this sounds like the issue that Apple had with displays. This issue was talked about in a blog post & several times on this forum.
Good luck, & hope it helps!
hi
Hi,
If an update for IOS comes out I'm the first that is download the current version. My Iphone 6 runs with IOS 10.2.1. But unfortuantly the problem is still there. I restarted my Iphone and I restarted my brailledevice. Nothing was changed. Maybe I write an e-mail to the accessibility support of Apple. I*ve good expirience with them. 6 months ago I had a problem with IBooks in combination with my device. After I told them the problem in the next update it was fixed.
