Hi all,

1. Please if anyone can provide instructions on how to select text in several places in a document. For example, in a twenty-line document, how to select lines 1 and 10?

2. How to select and copy text from Safari? It is so frustrating using the arrows with shift and occasionally the options key.

Thanks.

Try pressing shift+down arrow when selecting text in a word document. When in safari, you can select the whole article by pressing command+A. Hope this helps.

I think that the OP is wanting to select a number of non-contiguous pieces of text. If correct, I do not believe that this is possible.

You can, in fact, select noncontiguous bits of text in a document, such as a text file. one need only navigate the text with the usual VO navigation commands, then press vo (ctrl+opt or the caps lock key) +cmd + return to begin the selection process. then once the text has been selected, end the process with the same keystroke and move to another part of the document and repeat the process. In safari, I've not been able to do this, however.

your subsequent selection will replace the prior selection, so no, one cannot select nonlinear text.

Ah. That's a fail. I do wish this was possible.
