Accessible running application or device

Hi. I've recently gotten back into fitness and running. Someone on here recommended the blue beets wireless scale which is working great. I was wondering if someone knows of a good accessible running device or application for iPhone 6. What I'm trying to do is be able to tell how fast I am running with live updates. So for example, I would be able to tell that my pace is about a 10 or 11 minute mile well I am running. One of my running guides has a Watch that gives him up to the second information. Does anyone know of any applications or devices that do this for blind people? Thanks a lot Andrew

Hi andrew,
I'm not sure of anything that is usable with VO that will give you speed, but there are the fitbit fitness trackers that work well with VO. They won't give you speed, however they'll tell you how much calories you burn etc.

I use Run Keeper on my iPhone. By default, it gives time, distance, and pace updates every 5 minutes, but I m pretty sure this is customizable. I find the 5 minute update to be just right for me, but your mileage may vary.

Another option might be Nearby Explorer. One of the fields that can be spoken in real time is speed. I have never turned that one on as I think it would be too much chatter for me.

OK I'll check out nearby explorer thank you. Yeah I already have an application called Strava which can give me total time calories burned etc. but if you can give live speed updates that is exactly what I need.

Hello there I am not sure if I should ask this question here or somewhere else on the site but I was curious on which fit bit is most accessible for us that are visually impaired or blind and could be worn on the wrist and has some functionality like the Apple Watch

I'm pretty sure the fit bit application is accessible with voiceover. So I'm not positive about this but I would assume you could use any of their fitness trackers that sync with the application.
