Blindfold Sound Search

Description of App

Blindfold Sound Search is a fully accessible matching game that is inspired by matching games and interesting sounds for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.

There are several types of games in Sound Search.
Name That Sound improves your skill at matching an object with its sound.
Find That Sound is a matching game where you must remember the square where each sound is located.

In both games, you start out matching 3sounds to complete the level. Each time you complete a level, the next level has the prior level's bird songs, along with two more sounds randomly mixed up. In both games, you win points for good matches, lose points for bad matches, and can be played for dozens of levels.

There are several sound packs available as upgrades: Common Animals, Asian Animals, National Anthems, Musical Instruments and Everyday Sounds.

Blindfold Sound Search comes with 2 free small sound packs: animals and sampler.

Blindfold Sound Search was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Bird Songs and Blindfold Color Crush.

I downloaded the game, and purchased the every day sound pack for $2.99. However when I try to switch to it, i'm told I must purchase the every day sound pack, and I just did. What to do now? I've closed the app and restarted it and even tried the restore button on the get upgrades screen. I even went so far as to delete the app and re-install it and tried the restore option again. Here's the part that's interesting. When it restores, it says, successfully restored your 0 coins. Successfully restored pack 5 pack. Those are the exact words, i'm not sure what that means but there you go. Even after hitting the restore button multiple times I'm still unable to switch to this every day sound pack which I purchased. any thoughts folks? So far, my $2.99 isn't doing much for me.

Hi folks especially marty... I've already sent this to Marty via email but I figured I would give everyone a heads up on what happened. It turns out that even though I purchased the Everyday sounds soundpack for Sound search, the one that actually got unlocked was the musical instruments one. I'm definitely not complaining but I wanted to tell people what was happening, in case they get the game and purchase a soundpack but they can't unlock it. Marty is working on it for sure, but I wanted to let everyone know what happened.

I purchased all packs for 9.99 and it worked for me. What an addicting game.

I downloaded the game last night and love it. So far, I have only played the "name that sound" and "Timed Name That Sound". At the end of each level in "Timed Name That Sound", I am notified that I have completed this level in 0 seconds. Has anyone else noticed this?

Just found the bug, and it will be fixed in the next version.

I think this is one of the best games in the Blindfold series. I am very impressed by the sound quality of a lot of the sounds in the game. The everyday sounds sound pack is my favorite.

Hey,

Wanted to first say that I love pretty much all of the blindfold games. I would just like to suggest perhaps randomizing the sounds at each turn. After a while, it starts to get a little predictive. Just my thoughts!

Keep up the great work and pumping out more fun games.

Are you saying the sounds are not randomized in each level so they appear in different places, or you want each level to have a different selection of sounds?

By That Blind Canuck on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 - 21:11

For each round to have a different selection of sounds. It kind of gets repetitive when the only changes from round to round are an additional sound or two from the previous round. Having new sounds each time you go to another round, makes it a little less predictive. You can always have more and more sounds in each round, but having completely new sounds from round to round will make it more challenging as it is never the same sounds twice.

Like I said, this is just a thought! Thanks for the wonderful work and keep it up.

I am unable to purchase vehicles and train sound packs. When these show up within the game, there are 3 question marks displayed instead of the cost. When I double tap on either of these, I receive the following error message: "Payment transaction failed. "Unknown product identifier". Has anyone else experienced this?

I just tried the above suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app brought the same results. However, I was able to restore the previous purchase of the bundle.
