Hi,
I am running a iphone 5 with a old virtion, can't remember witch virtion it is now, But havving problems with some of the apps on my phone.
I can restore it, but it restores the apps but not some of the info that I saved in those apps.
With that beeing said, I'm thinking of upgrading my ios virtion.
I'm just worried that it makes the phone slow and sluggish.
Does anyone have a problem with the latest virtion of ios on the iphone 5?
And if I'm not happy with it, can I down grade again?
Thanks,

Gary.

As of now, apple is still signing iOS 10.2 along with the latest update iOS 10.2.1. Apple doesn't keep the signing window open for very long after a new update has come out (with the exception of major version releases.) While I can't speak for the iPhone 5, I can tell you how to go about downgrading from iOS 10.2.1 to 10.2 if you'd like. However, its so short between those two versions that I doubt it'd make that much of a difference. So long story short: If you restore/upgrade, you are not going back to whatever firmwhere you have on your device currently. If you'd like to know how to do that downgrade anyway, let me know and I'll tell you how to do it. You'll need a PC or mac running iTunes for this to work.

I am running ios 10 on an iPhone 5S and it works well. Don't know the difference between a 5 and a 5S.

The 5S had a faster processor plus other different internals that I don't exactly remember off hand. It also has the first gen touch ID sensor which the 5 doesn't have.

Thanks guys, managed to come right without upgrading the ios.
It might be good to do it, but I can
t go back if it doesn't work and the phone pretty much works very well, So I rather stick to what I have.
