App store not working

Hello all, I have recently updated to IOS6 and am having trouble with the app store feature. I turned on Genius which was a bad idea in the first place. Now wen I want to search for a particular app, it keeps freezing up and kicking me out to the main home screen. Any suggestions? I also don't know how to turn off Genius suggestions. Thanks so much!!

First, turning off genius.. Go into privacy tab in settings. Turn on location services. After you do this, there will be a systems services at bottom of page. Go into this tab and turn off genius..

Hello, That was helpful but I didn't see the Genius option in their. I whent to privacy then system services but only saw location based I adds. I can't find the Genius option. Thanks

Apple is well aware of this issue. It is affecting everyone, not just voice over users. There is tempory fix when it crashes. First go into App Store and hit any tab except search tab. Hold down power tab until it tells you to swipe to turn off, don't do this. Instead hold down home key until app closes. You can go back into app to search now. By doing this, you are resetting the App Store.

Go into App Store and hit feature tab. Go to bottom of page and hit your Apple I.D. Next hit view Apple I.D. And there is a genius link where you can turn it off.
