Accessibility Comments

The app is very accessible. Just a warning. Should yoru watch lock the recording will stop. There is no indication of this.

Usability

Fully Accessible

Other Comments

As I said when the app is in the background it cannot record. Also in its iOs companion you get no voiceover when recording. This is not very cool to me. I did let the devs know.

To work around an annoying aspect of the recording facility in the Apple Watch that puts the Voiceover cursor on the cancel button, it is either necessary to flick to or touch the save recording button, or much easier, when you have come to the end of the information you wish to record on the Watch, simply press the side button.

If you just double-tap after you start recording, you will cancel the recording in progress.

Note that you may need to activate just Press Record from the dock, in order for your latest recording to be send to iCloud Drive.

That works, although I just keep focus on the save button and make sure the watch doesn't lock. Thanks for that.

I think the watch complication for Just Press record is really a neat feature of this app.

Really? I've never used it. Hmm. I'll have to try this. Thanks for that.

Hi,
I've just downloaded this app onto my phone, and put it on my Apple Watch. I made a recording, which firstly didn't show up on the app on my phone, the recording was made on the watch. Then I used 3d touch to resend the recording from the watch, and that worked. However, when I open iCloud drive on my Mac, the recording still does not show up. Has anyone else had that problem?

I am not sure why, but since the end of 2016, beginning in 2017, all of the files I record in Just press Record are saved locally to the phone, but not to iCloud Drive.
I wonder what may have happened to cause this.

Since Watch Os 4 this app can record in the background.

Where can I find the voiceover commands I can use with the Just Record App

By Sabrina on Sunday, March 25, 2018 - 17:45

They are rather straight forward; just two finger double tap to start or stop recording, but on the Apple Watch it is even easier since there are just two buttons; latest and record. I find that the apple watch app works better in airplane mode wich is why I always have airplane mode when I actually need to record something for my diary. I use my watch to record a lot.
