You will need to merge the two partitions together using disk utility. In the disks table, select your main hard drive which should say something blah blah blah Apple SSD. Don't select the Macintosh HD or your other partition. oNce the main disk is selected, go to the partition button in the toolbar and select it. You'll then have to focus the second partition and press the delete button. From there, just adjust the size of your primary partition to the total size of your disk. Once you hit apply, the disk should be properly resized.

Once that is downloaded, follow the process in BootCamp Assistant. You don't need a flash drive if you're running El Capitan or later on Mac computers that support Windows 8 or later. From what I can tell, this only impacts 2015 and later machines. My 2013 MacBook Air still requires me to use a USB drive to install Windows 7, 8.1, or 10. From what I've read, this process creates a few temporary partitions on your disk to store the Windows installer and the suppport software. All of this should be done automatically and the computer will restart. At this point, you'll ned someone with vision to help you through the initial install screen. I am happy to report that Microsoft will finally be implementing an accessible installer starting with the Creators update coming in March. The installer will prompt for a product key. If you don't have one yet, choose skip. You can buy a Windows license from the Windows Store once Windows is installed. If you've purchased a retail copy of Windows somewhere else, you can enter the key here.

Once the install is finished, you'll either need sighted help or a USB audio device connected to your Mac to hear Narrator speech. You'll need sound support until you can get the drivers installed. From that point, you should be fine.

In that partition screen, there should be a "vertical splitter" which, when you interact with it, should allow you to adjust the size of the two partitions to whatever you want.

On another note, you can also use headphones for speech during the Windows setup after the installation is complete; I was able to use headphones without connecting an external USB audio device.

That's interesting. Did a standard pair of 3.5 MM headphones connected to the audio socket really work? I didn't think it would since you're still using the Mac's built-in sound card. I was under the impression that no sound would be supported until the Windows drivers were installed.

Yes, my 3.5 mm headphones plugged into the headphone jack on my 2015 13" MacBook Pro did indeed work for the part of the setup where you could use Narrator. I thought I remember reading somewhere that one of the partitions created during the install on the newer machines includes the drivers you'll need for the setup process, and headphone audio is apparently one of the ones that's included. My speakers did not work before the full driver installation, but I was able to use both the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack as well as a USB sound card. I did this process a couple times over the course of a couple days, and the headphones worked each time.

Wha tI would love to do is take my 1t external drive and boot camp it, except boot camp defaults to the internal drive. I googled but cannot fidn a way to do this.
