Hi all,
My Mac is running the latest MacOS and the latest version of iTunes. For some reason whenever iTunes is running, it keeps playing the Tri-tone every 2 or 3 minutes as if a download or something has just completed, but it isn't actually doing anything. This happens when playing music, radio or even if it's just in the background doing nothing. This started happening after I updated iTunes, but before updating to MacOS 10.12.2.
Anyone else having this issue, or know of a way I can find out what it might be doing? There's nothing in the LCD section or activity popover, and I don't have Apple Music or iTunes Match so it's not uploading my music.
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem
I'm having the same problem. I've also updated to the latest version of iTunes on my PC running windows 8.1. This problem occurs when an iPhone or an iPod is connected to my computer. We should all report this bug to Accessibility@apple.com.
Yes, wild guesses about what's happening
My wild guess is that it has something to do with any update that iTunes is making to the library and perhaps is connected to interaction with a synced device. I say this because I was getting lots of tones at first then it stopped. Later on I plugged my phone into power and it started up again. (I have wifi sync enabled.) It did this several times close together, then the tones became more spread out, seeming to happen shortly after iTunes moved to the next song but sometimes more than once wile the song was playing. Right now nothing is playing, the phone is still powered, and the tones seem to have ceased.
