I find that, in the newestUber updates, if I forget to rate the driver before requesting the next ride, I cannot rate a previous trip, either in the Receipt section or by tapping the appropriate section of the emailed receipt, as directed by Uber Support. There have been several drivers who have not received the deserved five stars. Has anyone noticed this, and found a successful workaround?

Try this Pam.
Hi Pam. Sorry you're having so much trouble. If you forget to rate a driver, go into the Menu button, then help. After that, you'll see a trip history. tap on a trip, and I'm pretty sure you can rate them from there. sorry I'm not much more help, I generally do it as soon as I can.
Rating A Previous Uber Trip
Siobhan,
I have tried this on my iPhone SE.I neglected to say that I was using my phone at all times. I'll try again. Thanks!
Uber Rating
Pam,
After you take a trip and you are looking for the trip rating information, swipe right in the app until you find the rating section.
At the top it will ask you what your destination is as if you were going to book another trip. If you swipe right past this main section the rating for your last trip should appear there.
That is how I found to rate an Uber trip twice today when I used the app. If you close the app completely though, I don't think the rate the trip feature will come up.
This is potentially a buggy part of the app that needs to be fixed in a future update so that every trip can be properly rated and submitted.
Uber Rating, Plus Another Issue
I think you are correct. When I rate a trip immediately after completion it works just fine. It's when I have forgotten to rate before closing the app that there's a problem. Uber says I should be able to click on the email receipt I receive, but that doesn't work either.
I have also received the notice that no cars are available, and have had no idea whether or not surge pricing is in effect. Previously I could deselect/select my ride of choice, and find the option to pay the higher rate. Lasbt night I was able to switch to Lyft, where the higher rate was in effect. As most of our drivers drive for both companies, and there are more Uber drivers than Lyft, I am guessing that surge pricing info was unavailable. Maybe I am wrong, but it makes me wonder.
I think they have to tell you before you book.
Hi Pam. Sorry you couldn't rate the trip after the closing of the app. I guess that's sort of good, since they want you to rate when you're done. Imean if you think about it, you don't want to be driving and find a rating for like a week ago right? Anyway I'm pretty sure, that the app needs to tell you if you want to acept surge pricing. Hope your experience was better with Lyft them mine was. Got charged for a no show when the building I was outside I was plainly visible. Lyft refunded me thankfully. The Uber driver found me spot on. If anyone does use when surge pricing is in affect let us know how you have to proceed when buying a ride.
