Problem with the latest release of the BBC iPlayer app

Hi all,
This is only relevant to the UK, but in the latest version of the Iplayer app, I've noticed that the done or close button has disappeared from the player, meaning that you can't end the currently playing programme and select another.

If anyone has any useful solutions apart from closing the app, I'd be grateful. I've notified the Iplayer team of this.

Cheers all.

To stop a stream, simply do a two finger double tap. On mine, I just double tap and go back a screen or two to get the channel list. I primarily use it to listen to sport, but on the rare occasion I listen to dramas, I usually see a close button. If you don't see that for some reason, just do a two finger double tap and you should be fine.

Hi usman,
Thanks for the comment. Your referring to Iplayer Radio, which is currently working as expected, the issue is with the Bbc Iplayer app instead. Try it and report back, and if you can find a way around the issue I mentioned, do let me know. In many ways, it would be better if the BBC rolled both tv and radio into one app, avoiding confusion.

The close button is still in the top right hand corner of the screen. What I do is click the home button three times to switch voice over off, then with a single tap tap around the top right hand corner of the screen until the stream stops. I find it easier to make sure that the program is still playing at the time of trying to hit the close button, so you know what's going on. Then switch voice-over back on and you should be on the previous screen which still allows you to go back to your programs.

Damwysk,
Thank you very much. I will try. Hopefully will be fixed soon.
