I thoroughly enjoy exploring the outdoors, camping, backpacking etc. However I have found a lack of GPS apps which I can utilize for navigating state parks such as, State parks etc. More specifically GPS apps which will Apps which will assist me and navigating trails, greenways etc. Any suggestions, advice or input with my dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally if anyone has any input or advice in regards to solar chargers or any device I could utilize while backpacking and camping to charge my iPhone 6 would be of great value.
Thanks in advance and never stop moving forward.

Lack of connection
I am completely blind and try to spend as much time as i can outdoors. I have tried to find apps for this very reason but the iphone needs survice in order to use gps apps which is usually unavailable on most of my trails.
You would need a dedicated accessible gps unit in order for it to be reliable that i have yet to find.
Nearby Explorer from APH
I don't know how thoroughly this app covers national parks and trails, but the Nearby Explorer app from APH does not require a data connection.
Also, it might be possible to download part of a map before you go on a hike and use it off line. I think Google Maps has this type of facility. I know people who use it without a data connection.
